Missing 21-year-old found buried in Cape Girardeau County; charges filed

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. – A 21-year-old Cape Girardeau County girl was discovered buried inside a barn weeks after she was reported lacking.

Jessi Wilfong was reported lacking on Might 25. Her household final noticed her on the night of Might 19 at their residence in Millersville.

In keeping with Cape Girardeau County Sheriff Ruth Ann Dickerson, investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence within the county on June 15. Proof and knowledge gathered at that residence led authorities to imagine Wilfong had been murdered.

On June 18, investigators turned their consideration to a barn “in shut proximity” to the residence. Deputies seen a part of the bottom contained in the barn had been disturbed as if lately turned over. Wilfong’s stays have been found buried in that space.
